Nigeria’s Super Falcons sealed a 5-1 aggregate win against Ethiopia, with Rasheedat Ajibade stealing the spotlight.

Uchenna Kanu opened the scoring just before halftime, capitalising on a well-executed counterattack. The second half saw Ajibade doubling the lead after five minutes, connecting with an excellent cross from Asisat Oshoala.

Oshoala further extended the lead with a header in the 68th minute, and she turned provider four minutes later, setting up Ajibade for her second goal of the match.

Despite Michelle Alozie’s near miss in the 85th minute, the Super Falcons celebrated a resounding victory at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

With this win, Nigeria advances to the next round, where they will face the winner between Uganda and Cameroon in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers.
