Flood has sacked some residents of Amu-Olokemeji, Odo Ado area of Ado Ekiti, the state capital and rendered scores of commuters stranded due to overflow of Ureje bridge.
The flood was as a result of downpour recorded on Monday which lasted several hours
Some of the victims of the incident noted that many houses were submerged by the flood while occupants were said to have fled for safety of their lives.
Several motorists plying the road were stranded as vehicles could not move. The situation led many people trekking.
Property worth millions of naira were also said to have been destroyed by the disaster.
It was also gathered that three commercial motorcyclists who dared the flood were swept off and their safety could not be ascertained as at the time of this publication.
The victims called on the state government to come to their aid.
