A man simply identified as Bode has killed his friend Tunde Akinmoyewa with a dane gun while testing a bulletproof charm on him.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in Laoso Village in Ondo West Local Government Area of the state.
However, the Ondo State Police Command said it had begun investigation into the matter.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, efforts were ongoing to arrest the suspect.
Odunlami said, the 27-year-old man, who was described as an ex-convict, was shot dead by his friend while testing a locally made dane gun allegedly laced with bulletproof charm.
However an eyewitness said that the deceased was testing the efficacy of bulletproof charm and asked his friend to shoot him first, noting that, the victim fell down and died of the gunshot.
He said that as soon as the victim fell down, the suspect took to his heels and escape from the scene before the neighbours could reach the place.
