Oluwatuyi charges workers on diligence, service delivery

The Executive Chairman of Irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government, Igede Ekiti; Mr Oluwatuyi Oluwagbenga,aka Chenco, has counselled the staffs to carve a positive niche of hardwork, punctuality and diligence in their official assignments, where they earn their living as responsible benefactors to their various homes.
Oluwatuyi who stated this while on the month official departmental interactions with the  staff of the local government, which commenced on Monday, enjoined them to be alive, and always be present at their official duty post, rather than abstaining from the office without permission except when on official assignments, cum yearly official leave.
He said efforts are in top gear to checkmate such lackadaisical attitudes by the LG workforce.
The LG boss however said efforts are being put in place to re-introduce “bus palliative”to transport IILG workers from Ado to Igede Ekiti free of charge,as this will serve as encouragement and reduction in transportation fees, for those living in Ado Ekiti.
The Head of Local Government Administration, prince Oladimeji Adegoke, equally encouraged all workers to abide by the civil service rules they agreed to uphold, protect and abide by when employed, Credence of which is punctuality, honesty, diligence, discipline e’tal to the ultimate core.
Prince Oladimeji, used the occasion to inform the staff that plan is ongoing to reward most active, diligent staff, on yearly basis.
Comrade Aina Olawole-Festus, the NULGE chairman, equally appealed to the staff to be alive to their various official assignment and responsibilities,as being diligent will afford the union to table and fight for the official approval of staff request, which the chairman and the management are  taking steps to achieve.
The NULGE chairman, said  punctuality and diligence would ultimately encourage the Governor to do more, beyond the staff imagination and expectations in meeting their needs as civil servants.
