The City Boy Movement, Ekiti State Chapter, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state for the inclusion of its State Director, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi, as a member of the Ekiti APC 2026 Governorship Election Campaign Council ahead of the June 20, 2026 governorship election.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Communications of the movement, Alofe Ayodele Moses, the group described the appointment as a demonstration of the party’s confidence in the leadership capacity and grassroots mobilization strength of the City Boy Movement in Ekiti State.
The movement particularly appreciated the state leadership of the APC under the chairmanship of Sola Elesin for finding its State Director worthy of serving on the strategic campaign body set up to coordinate activities for the re-election bid of the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
According to the statement, the recognition further underscores the important role the City Boy Movement continues to play in strengthening the progressive structure of the party and mobilizing support across communities in the state.
The movement assured the party leadership that the confidence reposed in its State Director would be justified, pledging to deploy the full structure and machinery of the City Boy Movement across all local government areas of the state to ensure the success of the campaign council and the re-election of Governor Oyebanji.
“We sincerely appreciate the leadership of our great party for this honour. The appointment is not only a recognition of the capacity of our State Director but also an acknowledgement of the commitment and loyalty of members of the City Boy Movement across Ekiti State. We remain fully committed to mobilizing massive grassroots support for the APC and the re-election of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji,” the statement said.
The movement reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of progressive governance and pledged to continue working with the party leadership to consolidate development and stability in Ekiti State.
