A clergyman, Pastor Harrison Charles, owner of Day Spring Assembly in Awada, Onitsha, in Anambra State who has been accused of snatching up to 75 married women from their husbands, is in police net.

Pastor Harrison’s victims, who are mostly members of his church, have accused him of forcing them to swap wives and also taking church members’ wives for himself.

Since the Anambra State government began the crackdown on fake pastors, which led to the arraignment of eight of them in court, several victims of fake pastors have been coming out to reveal their ordeals in the hands of the clerics.

Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Media, Dr Ejimofor Opara, confirmed Harrison’s arrest in a Facebook post.

He said the clergyman has been handed over to the police, adding that a joint investigation between the Anambra State Police Command and the state government has commenced.

Ejimofor called on anyone with information on the pastor’s activities to report to the state government.

He said: “Pastor Harrison Charles, owner of Day Spring Assembly in Awada, Onitsha, was arrested by operatives of Agunechemba following a viral video containing several allegations against him.

“He is currently being investigated by the police, in collaboration with the Anambra State Government.

“During his arrest, about eleven babies were found in his home. He claims to be the father of these eleven babies, stating they are from eleven of his wives.

“He also claims he does not know the number of wives he has married or the total number of children he has.

“While investigations continue, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Security, Mr. Ken Emeakayi, has urged anyone with additional information to report it to the State Government via 08034182108.” {Daily Post }
