The All Progressives Congress, APC, Ekiti State Chapter, expresses profound gratitude to the people of Ekiti for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the June 20, 2026 governorship election. Your conduct once again affirmed Ekiti’s reputation as the land of honour, intellect, and integrity.
This was contained in a statement by the party spokesman, Segun Dipe in Ado Ekiti
Dipe said: “We congratulate every voter, party member, polling agent, and stakeholder whose commitment to democratic ideals made this process credible. Above all, we congratulate His Excellency, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his well-deserved re-election for a second term. The message from Ekiti is clear: the people have chosen continuity, stability, and performance.
“APC assures all Ekiti people that Governor Oyebanji will not relent. He received the mandate with humility and understands its demands. The next four years will be defined by faster execution and broader impact across all 16 LGAs and 22 LCDAs.
This victory reinforces Ekiti’s alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Mr. President has demonstrated consistent goodwill toward Ekiti through federal road interventions, UBEC/TETFUND support for schools, and social investment programmes that reach Ekiti homes.
“APC urges citizens to sustain confidence in both the governor and the President. The synergy between a performing state government and a responsive federal government is what attracts infrastructure, funding, and opportunities. Ekiti is well-positioned to reap greater benefits from this partnership.
“Governor Oyebanji’s administrative style is rooted in magnanimity and inclusion. He will continue to lead with the fear of God. Victory will not translate to exclusion. Ekiti is one indivisible family, and this government belongs to all citizens, regardless of party affiliation or voting preference.
“The administration will remain open to ideas, respect constructive criticism, and ensure public resources are deployed for projects that improve lives, not partisan interests. That is the Ekiti standard.
“Saturday’s result demonstrates that Ekiti rewards performance and rejects absence. APC encourages all citizens to maintain this democratic discipline ahead of 2027. The offices of President, National Assembly, and State Assembly shape policies on wages, education funding, security, and federal projects that directly affect Ekiti.
“To those who voted peacefully, we say thank you for protecting our collective image. To PVC holders who stayed home, we appeal to you: turn readiness into participation in 2027. Democracy advances when every voice is heard.
“Ekiti is BAO, and BAO is Ekiti. With the trust you have reposed in him, and with the support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, we will build an Ekiti of shared prosperity — where every farmer, trader, student, and professional has tangible reasons to believe in government.”
