Ado Central LCDA APC members endorse Chairman, Ojo for second term

Members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ado Central Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have unanimously endorsed Engr. Toyin Ojo to contest as a sole candidate for the forthcoming local government elections in the State.

The party also described him as a focused and committed politician whose achievements will continue to endear him to the people.

The party members spoke at a separate meetings held in wards 4, 5, 8 and 12 during a familiarisation tour by the Chairman to the council areas.

During the meetings, several members of the party used the occasion to eulogized the Chairman and described him as a visionary leader who has touched many lives within few months of his administration.

Speaking on behalf of other Chairmen, Mr Mike Akinleye, attested to numbers of infrastructural developments Engr Toyin Ojo has embarked on to justified his quest for a second term ticket.

The APC Chairmen who attested to the recent ultra-modern offices built and equipped by the Chairman and donated to members and staff of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (EKSIEC) and the officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Ekiti State command.

Other projects mentioned by him are building of a befitting council Secretariat, construction of several culverts and bridges across the council arras among others.

He called on other members of the party to supports the move by the leaders of the APC in the council area to endorse Engr Toyin Ojo in his quest to re-contest for the position of the Chairman of the development council.

“Engineer Toyin Ojo always make himself available for members of the party for any dialogue relating to the development of the council area and its citizenry, I implore our people to choose good work over non performing leader. He has only spent one and half year in office, I am sure that his second term will help turn our local council around”.

Other members and Stewarts of the party who spoke during the meetings, eulogized the chairman of the council over what they termed as giant strides recorded within the shortest possible time he has been elected as the council chairman of the area.

In his own contribution, a member of the party from ward 5 Kajola area, identified his name as Mr Kayode Orilabawaye, said the giant strides of the Engr Toyin Ojo, has endeared members of the party to support his for the second term.

He particularly mentioned the channelization of drainages across the local council including construction of culverts in his street at Kajola street in Ado-Ekiti prompted them to drum more supports for the Chairman and urged him to re-contest for the second term.

“If we are to mention his achievements one after the other, time will not permit us, all I want to say is to advised our members to support him and ensure the success of his administration.”

Against this background, the leaders were unanimous in endorsing Hon. Osho for a second term hinging their position on the need for an uninterrupted grassroots governance which according to them is in a tested hand, and in tune with the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

In his separate reactions, the Council boss, Engr Toyin Ojo,, described the meetings as an epoch making events, thanked members of the party over what je described aa their unalloyed supports given to his administration.

He explained that the endorsement for a second term by the leaders and other members of the APC in the LCDA would further spur him to do more for his people. Adding that his second coming by God’s would be an opportunity to improve on his current accomplishments.

The event held across the five political wards in the council area was attended by party leaders and Chieftains, market women, traditional and religious leaders as well as youths in the council.
