A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon (Dr) Femi Bamisile, has lauded the ruling All Progressives Congress for conceptualising the electronic- registration of members to ascertain its numerical strength.
Bamisile, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Delegated Legislation, hailed the party for being exemplary in governance and party politics in Nigeria and across African continent by being innovative in all its undertakings.
The former speaker gave the commendations, in a statement issued through his Media Office in Abuja on Thursday.
The representative of the Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, rallies his constituents in Ekiti for the registration exercise that will be undertaken across the 177 wards, describing the programme as a precursor to the party’s victories in the June 20,2026 governorship election in the state and the 2027 general polls.
For the success of the exercise , Bamisile said every loyal and committed member are expected to participate since winning elections remain the most reasonable way to measure the viability of any party.
He saluted the National leaders of the party under Prof Nentawe Yilwadta for conceiving the political innovation that will buoy the party’s strength across the boards.
The Federal Lawmaker commended the high speed at which the exercise was being prosecuted in Ekiti State through concerted efforts and ingenuity of the Hon Sola Elesin-led State Working Committee of the party.
Bamisile said with such innovation, APC is well positioned for victories in the future elections, especially coming at a time when the opposition are embroiled in multifaceted crises and practically in tatters.
“I want to appreciate the leadership of the APC at the national level for this innovation. They have been able to display exemplary leadership on how a good party politics should be.
” When you get it right politically, then it will be easier to replicate same in governance. This is what the APC was trying to show to others.
“I appeal to my constituents in Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, who are above 18 years to join the winning party and most organised party in Nigeria, which is APC using this platform and window provided them.
“If you look at the preparations ahead of the coming polls, APC stands in good stead. It remains the only party in Nigeria that is responding positively to internal crises and resolving them and the only party that is thinking outside the box to fortify its support base.
“To me, I consider this as a commendable step that must be embraced by all lovers of democracy”.
