Ahead of the forthcoming Ekiti State House of Assembly elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ekiti East Constituency II, In a unanimous decision by party Leaders and Executives, Barr. Tajudeen Olutope Ahmed has been affirmed as the consensus candidate to fly the party’s flag.
Earlier Today, the consensus was reached following extensive consultations with key stakeholders led by the incumbent House of Assembly member, Hon. Lateef Oluwole Akanle (Kongo ) MHA ,Ekiti East Constituency II, who presided over the process that prioritized the collective interest of the people.
The whole process began with consultation with the leadership of the party and some critical stakeholders of the party in the Constituency.
The motion for the endorsement was moved by one of the leaders of the party in the Constituency, Mr G.A Oni popularly referred to as Baba Onigaa who is currently the Chairman of Elders Forum in the state. This was seconded by Mr Femi Olaitan who is equally the Vice Chairman of the Ekiti South East LCDA, Ilasa Ekiti. At the end of the motion, all party members across the 7 Wards present at the Venue unanimously agreed to the motion thereby paving the way for Barrister Tajudeen Ahmed as the Consensus Candidate of the party for 2027 Ekiti State Assembly Election.
The meeting was attended by All the Wards Chairmen, Local government Exco, Elder G.A Oni, the Local government party Chairman, Chief Clement Ojo and his Vice were in attendance.
Hon Dare Pelemo who was the former member representing the Constituency in the 5th Assembly was also in attendance.
Also in attendance were the Councilors both the incumbent and candidates for the next Election.
Mr Bayo Daramola, SSA to Mr Governor, Engr Komolafe Sunday former HOS, Mr Biodun Alebiosu, Mr Bayo Awodunmila , Chief Omo Iya and the newly chosen Candidate of our party for the forthcoming local government election, Mrs Ogunleye Adenike and her Vice, Mr Ogundana Amos were in attendance.
Reacting to the affirmation, Barr. Tajudeen expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the trust and opportunity to serve. This is not just a victory for me, but a testament to the unity of our great party under the visionary leadership of Governor Oyebanji.”
Barr. Tajudeen extended his gratitude to the party Leaders and Executives at the local government and state level, for the confidence they have in him to represent this Constitency. He declares that the APC is poised for victory in the forthcoming Governorship election and other future elections. “We will continue to work tirelessly for the development and wellbeing of our people. I thank you all for your support and your prayers.”
He emphasized that his mission in the House of Assembly would be centered on progress, development, the wellbeing of the people, and continued growth, aligning the constituency’s needs with the broader “Shared Prosperity” agenda of the Oyebanji administration.
