A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Bamisile, has rejoiced with Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate for the 2026 poll in Ekiti State.
Bamisile, a former speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, posited that the victory substantiated the fact that there is always reward for hardwork and sacrifice in the service to humanity.
The Chairman House Committee on Delegated Legislation, said this, in his congratulatory message to the governor and issued through his Media Office in Abuja, on Tuesday.
Bamisile , in his message, said God had answered the prayers of Ekiti populace by returning Oyebanji as the APC candidate, saying this will afford the citizens abundant opportunity to reward the governor with bountiful votes for his superlative performance in the last three years.
The representative of the Ekiti South Federal constituency II, said the palpable joy and ecstasy on the faces of Ekiti people across strata after the affirmation, was a confirmation that the victory aligns with their hopes and aspirations.
The federal parliamentarian, appealed to opponents to discard fight to finish syndrome and embrace the peace entreaties extended to them by the governor and now the APC candidate.
Bamisile added that the party members will profit nothing if they set the house they intend to build their political future on fire,saying winning the impending election should be the utmost priority in their minds.
He congratulated all the political leaders for standing firm with the governor and prevented his second term from being botched by hidden forces, describing this as democracy in action.
Bamisile saluted an aspirant, Mrs Atinuke Omolayo for summoning courage and displayed sportsmanship and withdrew from the race without pressure, saying this signposted political maturity and manifested a sign that she would have a good future in APC.
“On behalf of my family, constituents and political admirers all over Ekiti State, I congratulate our dear Governor on this victory. It was a well earned and well deserved one.
“Since 2022, Governor Oyebanji had proven to be a leader we can trust. A leader that can deliver and a leader who is not power drunk. He merits the second term by every sense of measurement.
“I have that unshaken belief that he will break the second term jinx and win for our party in the 2026 governorship poll.
“It is going to be a winning that will resonate across the 16 local governments and 177 wards in Ekiti”, Bamisile predicted.
