The Obalemo of Odo Ora Ekiti, Oba Samuel Akinola Adeyemo has condemned the call for his removal by some very few aggrieved members of the community urging them to embrace peace in the interest of development.

According to the monarch, the peace and development of the town should be the Paramount goal of every individual rather than upholding petty agitations and destructive criticism borne out of envy and mischief.

The royal father who spoke after a group led by one Prof. Dipo Olofintila called for his removal affirmed that he was duly selected by kingmakers through the traditional processes of the town without any bias and was ratified by government as against allegations by the aggrieved party.

Oba Adeyemo confirmed that he had been able to use his goodwill to facilitate development to the town with a promise to do more.

In his contribution, the Sajowa of Odo-Ora, Chief Tola Adeponmola joins the monarch to sue for peace and urged the aggrieved members to cooperate with the monarch to consolidate on his last achievements rather that engaging in pull it down syndrome.

Also speaking, High Chief Samuel Ajayi Fayigbe JP, who is the third in rank to the Oba, said there is no reason to call for his removal because he was duly chosen by the Oracle which was consulted in different places in kidding Orin and Ijelu Ekiti.

Similarly, the Oluode of Odo-Ora, Chief Olusola Oni, said those agitating for the removal of Kabiyesi are those whose candidates failed the selection process while Mrs. Beatrice Adeponmola, the Eyegun, wondered why a supposed peace meeting should end in the call for the deposition of a duly crown Oba.

Chief Adeboye Olanityi, the Ologun Eruku of Odo-Ora Ekiti, said it is uncalled for for any sensible person to demand the removal of a duly crown Oba.
