The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has sacked the boards of Union Bank, Keystone Bank and Polaris Bank after a meeting with the apex bank in Abuja.
A source at one of the banks confirmed the sack but provided no details for the reason or next steps.
The four banks are said to be involved in the special investigations into how the CBN was run under the embattled former governor Godwin Emefiele, who was relieved of his position last year.
