Christ’s School Alumni Association 80/85 set begins Homecoming Celebration and 40th Anniversary ….urges all alumni, well-wishers to support school development initiatives

The Christ’s School Alumni Association has announced its 2025 Global Homecoming Celebration, themed “Reconnect, Reunite, Roister and Reciprocate,” urging all alumni and well-wishers to support development initiatives of the school.

The chairman of the 80/85 set, Prince Adejumoke Adefemi Agunbiade spoke when he led other members of the set to a press conference to herald the beginning of a week-long anniversary at the Christ’s School Alumni Association, Alumni Centre, Ado Ekiti

According to him, this momentous occasion is designed to shape the future of Christ’s School and bring more innovative development to the alma mata.

He said that the occasion coincides with the 40th valedictory anniversary of the 1980-1985 Set and promises to be a remarkable convergence of nostalgia, service, unity, and forward-looking initiatives.

Giving the key highlights events, he disclosed that the activities would commence on Tuesday, October 14 to Sunday, October 19, 2025
at the Alumni Centre, Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

He said there would be Career Talks with Insights from esteemed alumni, including Professor Taiwo Owoeye and Dejo Akinyemi.

Prince Agunbiade said that there would be Medical Outreach Providing healthcare services to the community.

A Novelty Football Match which according to him would be fun-filled event to foster bonding.

Also a Gala Night with Award Presentations that would honors outstanding alumni and achievements.

He stated that there would be thanksgiving service, a solemn ceremony to express gratitude and blessings to God.

Stating the objectives of the home coming, the chairman 80/85 set said it is to ekindle friendships and networks nurtured by shared School heritage.

“We are celebrating the values of education that shaped personal and professional life journeys and
recommitting strengthening ties to the alma mater and contribute to its continued growth.”

On Mentorship Programs, he disclosed that there would be pairing alumni with students for guidance and career insights, as well as motivate current students and younger alumni through shared experiences and achievements.
