Former CBN Governor Emefiele has been granted N300m bail by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama.
Justice Hamza Muazu in a ruling on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, held that Emefiele should produce two sureties, who must have landed property in the Maitama District of the FCT.
Former CBN Governor Emefiele was not in court during today’s proceedings, having been remanded at Kuje Prison last week.
It would be recalled that two weeks ago, another FCT High Court ordered his release in a fundamental human rights suit he instituted against the federal government.
The court adjourned till November 28 for the commencement of trial.
