Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Lieutenant Commander Victor O. Agunbiade of the United States Navy on receiving the prestigious Meritorious Service Medal awarded by the President of the United States of America.
In a statement released in Abuja, Hon. Dabiri-Erewa described the recognition as “a remarkable testament to discipline, excellence, and the exceptional contributions of Nigerians serving across the world.”
She noted that Lt. Cdr. Agunbiade’s outstanding meritorious service between September 2023 and November 2025 reflects the bravery, professionalism and integrity that Nigerians always demonstrate in the Diaspora.
The NiDCOM Boss said further that the recognition is not only a personal achievement but a national honour that reinforces Nigeria’s image as a country of talent and distinction.
Dabiri-Erewa urged other Nigerians in the diaspora to keep striving for excellence, while wishing Lt. Cdr. Agunbiade continued success in his career.
