The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Steven Aribasoye on Sunday praised the Asolo of Ikole Kingdom, High Chief Olu Ogunsakin for his contributions to the growth and development of Ikole Kingdom.
Aribasoye stated this at the special thanksgiving service held at the Saint Patrick Cathedral, Catholic Diocese of Ekiti State, to mark his 70th Birthday and 45th chieftaincy anniversary.
Represented by the Deputy Speaker, Bolaji Olagbaju, Aribasoye prayed God to grant the High Chief the good health to celebrate many more years.
Also, a former member of the House of Assembly, Hon. Adebayo Morakinyo who confirmed that the celebrant is his inlaw showered encomium on him for being a true father and mentor.
Similarly, the Iyalaje of Ikole Ekiti, Chief Mrs Akinola Oduayo affirmed that Chief Ogunsakin is a lover of all who has a high technical skills in resolving crisis and maintaining peace.
In his remark, the Babalaje of Ikole Ekiti, Chief Eziaku Obasi King described Chief Ogunsakin as a humble man with high sense of integrity, wishing him many more years in good health.
Reverend Father Bimbo Joseph in his homily, advised people at the positions of authority to rule with the fear of God and shun pride.
This was just as family members, friends, associates and well wishers of the celebrant spoke glowingly of him and also wish him well in his future endeavors.
They used different positive words to describe the person of Chief Ogunsakin who is the chairman Traditional chieftaincy holders in Ekiti State based on their various relationship and experiences with him.
In his remarks, Chief Ogunsakin an ICT expert and computer guru, who has impacted many lives and has shown rare leadership skills as a community leader in Ikole Ekiti, thanked his creator for making the day a reality.
Fielding questions from newsmen after the event, Chief Ogunsakin said that he was a fulfilled man and that was the reason for the celebration.
He noted that living for seventy years and serving as a community leader for forty five years despite all odds calls for celebration.
Ogunsakin appreciated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, his wives, children and well wishers for celebrating him.
