The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, is currently meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) to finalize preparations ahead of coming major elections.
According to the electoral body, key issues on the agenda include final arrangements for the November 2025 Anambra governorship election.
Others included logistics for pending bye-elections in various states, operational planning for the resumption of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), and early groundwork for the 2026 FCT Area Council elections, among others.
