Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has congratulated Captain Adebanke Osilaja on becoming the first licensed Nigerian female Pilot at any US Legacy Airline.
A statement by the NiDCOM spokesman, AbdulRaman Balogun said that Dabiri-Erewa described the achievement as a remarkable breakthrough and a proud moment for Nigeria, noting that rising to Captain in a major American carrier reflects exceptional professionalism, resilience and mastery.
She added that Osilaja’s success is a powerful inspiration to young Nigerians everywhere, especially girls aspiring careers in the aviation industry and other male-dominated fields.
The NiDCOM Boss wished the Nigerian Flight Captain the best in her endeavours.
It could be recalled, also, that Capt. Osilaja was one of the recipients at the 2025 National Diaspora Merit Awards that took place in Abuja, in July.
