The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command on Friday paraded a man Samuel Balogun, 23, accused of rape, cyber stalking, conspiracy and threat to Life.
The State Commandant , Mr Agboola Sunday who paraded four persons for various crimes in Ado Ekiti metropolis, said one of the suspects, Balogun who was arrested at Omisanjana axis in the state capital was accused of rape, cyber stalking, conspiracy and threat to Life.
The suspects were paraded at the Counter Terrorism Base of the Command located along Afao Road Ado Ekiti.
He said, Samuel was suspected to be on drugs substance, drugged a lady, (names withheld) and raped her repeatedly thereafter took a short video of her nude without her consent.
He stated that the suspects been threatening her with the video and made several attempt to use the video to continue with his dastard act.
“The victim refused his sexual advancement and he later sent the video to social media channels in which the Unit has recorded and downloaded the video.” He said.
The Commandant said another suspects, Ojo Temitope, 39 years, Alade Haruna , 30 years and Abiola Okedele, 31, were also arrested along Oshodi Community in Ado Ekiti.
He said that the suspects were suspected to be Burkinafasso returnees who are specialized in trafficking people from Ado Ekiti to Burkinafasso.
He said; ” the suspects are always in the habit of defrauding their victims with juicy work in Burkinafasso and collected huge amount of money from them in the name of seeking greener pastures without knowing that they are landing in another African country.
“Various items recovered from them include a Burkina fasso Army uniform, International passport, bus ticket showing Burkinafasso bus ticket fare payment, charms, substance suspected to be cannabis sativa and other hard drinks.
The State Commandant explained that the suspects would be investigated properly before handing some of them to the relevant agency for further investigation and the rest will be made available for prosecution
The commandant who commended the efforts of the Counter Terrorism Unit, cautioned youths especially ladies on toxic relationship with cultists.
