The Children of the Obalodo of Oye Kingdom, High Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo says the 70th birthday and one year anniversary celebration on the throne of their father will begin on Dec.5 till Dec.6.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the representative of the children, Mrs Omolola Adeniyi on Monday in Oye-Ekiti.
The statement explained that the activities marking Obalodo 70th birthday will begin with Muslim Prayers at the family compound Ilodo quarters, along old Oye and Ire-Ekiti road by 9.am.
It said the Christian denomination service will also take place on Dec.6 by 9.am, and will be followed by traditional prayers by 11.am after which there will be entertainment of guest at Obalodo Compound, Ilodo quarters in Oye-Ekiti.
Mrs Adeniyi who described their father as an hardworking, courageous, principled with dignity and reliable personality, said the children decided to celebrate him because he was the best daddy in the world.
The statement read in part: ” The activities to mark the 70th birthday of High chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo and his one year coronation anniversary on the throne as the Obalodo of Oye Kingdom begins on Dec.5 with Muslim Prayers at the family compound Ilodo quarters, along old Oye and Ire-Ekiti road by 9.am.
“Christian denomination service will also take place on Dec.6 by 9.am and it will be followed by traditional prayers by 11.am, after which there will be entertainment of guests at the same venue.”
The statement, however added that families, friends and well wishers are invited to attend the programme.
