His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Noah Omonigbehin, the Olomuo of Omuo kingdom, has inauguration the Omuo day 2024 planning committee to be chaired by Mr ES Oloruntoba who is also the national vice president of Omuo development union (ODU).
Recall that the Omuo Day is an annual event that brings all indegenes of the community together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and also serve as an opportunity for fundraising for the development of the community.
In his acceptance speech after the inauguration, the newly inaugurated chairman of the Omuo day planning committee, Mr E S Oloruntoba expressed gratitude to kabiyesi Olomuo, the Olomuo-in-council, other organs of Omuo and all sons and daughters of the community, home and in diaspora for finding him worthy.
He assured that the planning committee under his chairmanship will do everything humanly possible to achieve the success of the program.
In his remarks the national President of Omuo Development Union (ODU), Amb. Kayode Fanola (DCM) FRSC Rt. mni was on ground to delivered words of encouragement and charged the committee to work assiduously for the success of the program.
He urged all sons and daughters of Omuo home and in diaspora to get themselves prepared for the year’s Omuo day celebration, as is going to be the first of its kind so far.
According to the Famisa Ayodeji-Adesina (ABC), the
National PRO, Omuo development Union (ODU), further information wilould be communicated to the general public, regarding the schedule of activities of the Omuo Day program.
