I heartily congratulate His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, Governor of Ekiti State, on his inauguration for a second term in office. This occasion presents an opportunity not only to celebrate his renewed mandate but also to acknowledge and appreciate the remarkable strides his administration has made in the development of Ekiti State over the past four years.

Without doubt, Governor Oyebanji’s first tenure has witnessed commendable efforts and significant progress across several critical sectors, reflecting a commitment to the development of our dear state and the wellbeing of its people. His administration’s interventions in agriculture, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, healthcare, education and workers’ welfare deserve recognition and appreciation.

I particularly commend the administration for its efforts towards strengthening the agricultural sector, improving infrastructure, creating opportunities for our young people, enhancing access to healthcare and advancing educational development. These are fundamental pillars of sustainable development, and the attention given to them has helped reinforce the hope and confidence of our people in the future of Ekiti State.

Equally worthy of commendation are the administration’s efforts to improve the welfare of civil servants and address the concerns of both serving and retired public officers. The wellbeing of those who dedicate their working lives to public service is essential to a motivated workforce and a responsible government. I also appreciate the importance attached to the welfare of our elderly citizens, whose contributions and sacrifices deserve our enduring respect and care.

These achievements provide a solid foundation upon which the Governor can build in his second term. It is against this background that I express my confidence that the next four years will bring even greater accomplishments, deeper development and more far-reaching benefits for the people of Ekiti State.

As His Excellency embarks on this new chapter, I encourage him to consolidate the gains already recorded and raise the standard of performance across all sectors. In agriculture, greater support for farmers, increased productivity and expanded agribusiness opportunities will further strengthen food security and rural prosperity. In infrastructure, sustained investment in roads and other public facilities will continue to open up communities, stimulate commerce and improve the quality of life of our people.

Ekiti youths will definitely continue to enjoy priority attention through expanded opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and innovation. Similarly, sustained investment in healthcare and education will help ensure that the benefits of development reach more families and that every child has a better opportunity to succeed.

I am certain that the Governor to sustain and strengthen his administration’s commitment to the welfare of serving civil servants and retirees. Timely payment of salaries, pensions and other legitimate entitlements, together with improved working conditions and retirement security, will further demonstrate that the government values those who have served and continue to serve the state. Our elderly citizens, too, deserve practical and compassionate policies that protect their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

While appreciating the progress made so far, I believe that Governor Oyebanji’s second tenure offers an even greater opportunity to surpass the achievements of his first term. The experience gained, foundations laid and lessons learned during the past four years should serve as catalysts for more ambitious initiatives, stronger implementation and greater impact.

The people of Ekiti State have renewed their confidence in his leadership, and I am optimistic that he will respond to that confidence with an even stronger determination to deliver. By sustaining what has worked, addressing areas requiring further attention and remaining responsive to the aspirations of the people, His Excellency can take Ekiti State to greater heights and further strengthen its position as a state of opportunity, progress and good governance.

Once again, I extend my warmest congratulations to His Excellency, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his inauguration for a second term. I commend him for the strides recorded during his first tenure and wish him greater wisdom, strength, good health and success as he continues the task of building a more prosperous Ekiti State.

Having laid a commendable foundation during his first tenure, I look forward with great optimism to a second term that consolidates these achievements, exceeds expectations and leaves an even more enduring legacy of progress, inclusive development and improved wellbeing for the people of Ekiti State.

God bless Governor Oyebanji, and God bless Ekiti State.
