Police summons NLC President over alleged criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing

The Nigeria Police Force has summoned the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, for questioning over alleged cases of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felonies, subversion, and cybercrime.

In a letter signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adamu Mu’azu, from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Department of Force Intelligence (DFI), in Abuja and addressed to the NLC President, the letter stated that Ajaero’s name was mentioned in the alleged crime which the office was investigating.

The letter stated that Ajaero was invited to interview the undersigned on Tuesday, August 20 by 10:00 am at the IRT complex in connection with the investigation.

It informed that the force would activate a warrant of arrest should Ajaero fail to honour the invitation.
