A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Bamisile, has appealed to Muslim Ummah to offer fervent prayers and as well unite against spiralling insecurity and economic hardship shaking the foundation of the country.

The former speaker urged the Muslim adherents to seek God’s face for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and state governors to be able to win the wars against banditry, insurgency and economic crisis affecting the masses.

The federal lawmaker, representing Ekiti South Federal constituency II, said this in his congratulatory message to Muslims on Sallah celebration, which was released via a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday.

The statement which emanated through his Media office in Abuja, charged Nigerians to have unshakeable faith in President Tinubu’s leadership to take Nigeria to the promised land.

In his admonition to the Muslims, he charged them to coexist peacefully with their Christain counterparts, so that Nigeria can reach a level where religious tolerance and spiritual rebirth can be deeply rooted.

Bamisile said Islamic faithful must imbibe the lesson inherent in the life and time of Prophet Ibrahim, widely regarded as the father of Faith, whose spiritual trajectory and service to God typified honesty, unity, tolerance and peace in the House of God.

He felicitated Muslims on the occasion and pray to Allah to grant their heart desires and prayer supplications at this auspicious time of this celebration.

“On behalf of my family, I congratulate all the Muslims in Ekiti State and appreciate their unflinching support for the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

“What Eid-el-Kabir stands for in the life and time of Prophet Ibrahim was unshakeable faith in God. Let all of us have faith that Nigeria will be great.

“For our nation to be great, we must recommit ourselves to the ethos of honesty, transparency, accountability and prudency in our services to the nation. We must shun corruption in all facets of our lives and embrace attitudinal change and rebranding.

“Nigeria is today enmeshed in multifaceted crises of banditry, insurgency, natural and human made disasters and economic hardship. With you and I making the right sacrifices and offer prayers for our leadership, we will subdue them and join the league of developed nations.

“I rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters on this memorable occasion and wish them long lives to be able to celebrate more of Eid-el-Kabir festivity in their lifetimes”, Bamisile said.
