A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, Sen. Ayo Arise has described the death of elder statesman, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and former National Assembly member, Sen. Tony Adeniyi as a great loss of a legal icon to Ekiti State and Nigeria.
“The death of the erudite lawyer came as a rude shock. It was unimaginable and least expected, especially now that Nigeria needs his wealth of experience most. ”
In a condolence statement, Sen. Arise said the desceased, an indigene of Ikere Ekiti, served Nigeria with distinction as a legislator and remained a respected voice in the legal profession.
“A chieftain of the APC, Sen. Adeniyi remained committed to democratic ideals, the rule of law, and the development of Ekiti State until his passing.”
The 2027 Ekiti North Senatorial District hopeful commiserates with the immediate family, the people of Ikere Ekiti, the legal community, and all who benefited from Sen. Adeniyi’s leadership.
