The immediate past Head of Service in Ekiti State, Engr. Sunday Olanrewaju Komolafe (SOK) has formally joined the All Progressive Congress (APC) during the Local Government APC General Meeting held in his Ward 3, Araromi-Ugbesi, in Ekiti East Local Government amidst jubilation by the the entire people of the community on Sunday, 9th of March, 2025.
He was formally admitted by the Ekiti East Local Government APC Chairman; Chief Clement Ojo in company of other high ranking party officials present.
In his remarks, Engr Komolafe said that he decided to join the party in appreciation of Oyebanji’s good works in Ekiti in the area of infrastructure and Human Capital Development, Agricultural Revolution and Youth Empowerment among others.
He said Ekiti people have never had it so good and therefore the clamoring for a second term by well-meaning Ekiti people which goes beyond party affiliation is a just course which must be vigorously pursue so that the good works can continue.
Komolafe said he decided to join this group of progressives to persuade Governor Oyebanji to go for a second term while also appealing to Ekiti people to vote for him in their large number.
He described Oyebanji as a God-fearing man who is passionate about the well-being of Ekiti people. He said he had known the Governor for a long time and can vouch that he is a practical person who does not pretend but will do all that is required to fulfill whatever promises he made.
Hundreds of new members from across the local government joined the party as a result of his declaration and the Ward 3 unanimously adopted him as their Leader.
They said that APC in lucky for its net to have caught a big fish like Engr. Komolafe.
Present at the meeting are the Chairman of APC in the Local Government, Chief Clement Ojo, Chairman of Elders Forum; Alhaji Tiwon Bello, the Hon. Commissioner for Transportation; Hon Kehinde Ajobiewe, a member of the House of Assembly Service Commission; Hon Rotimi Ajidara, as well as other state, Local Government, Wards’ and Units’ officers
